The first of its kind — innovative recycling line delivered to Hansgrohe Group

It is the first recycling line of its kind that processes galvanised plastics purely mechanically and recovers a directly reusable plastic granulate!

During the first quarter of the year, the sanitary technology manufacturer Hansgrohe commissioned an ImpulsTec processing plant for decoating chrome-plated plastic components using innovative shock wave treatment in conjunction with pre-shredding and magnetic separation.

This allows the production waste from bathroom and kitchen fittings to be separated into its plastic and metal components. With a material purity of more than 99.8 m%, the recycled plastic fraction can be directly reused in high-quality components.

The successful implementation of the treatment process for galvanised plastic products based on electro-hydraulic shredding technology fills us with pride and marks a milestone in the industrial recycling of plastics.
